Sameh Abboushi
Sameh Abboushi is a 64 years old accomplished architect living in Ramallah. However when Israeli tanks occupied the city centre in 2002 and restricted access to his architect office he felt he could no longer build and instead became an artist. He calls himself a young artist. Abboushi is also an illustrator.
Sameh’s family originated in Haifa and were displaced in 1948.
Sameh used to work in an architect¹s office In Jerusalem during the 1980s but as travel restriction in and out of Palestine have grown he is now unable to even visit Jerusalem.
Ashery had developed an email exchange with Abboushi and they have met in Ramallah. ( necessary journey link) she is hoping to continue the collaboration when funding permits.
